I wanted to make you aware of our excitement in announcing that, effective August 1, 2021, Lisamarie Trivett will assume the position of Executive Director for the Children’s Homes of Iredell County, Inc. I have been so fortunate to lead this small agency over the past thirty years in efforts to provide safety, nurturance and care to children and youth who enter the foster care system through no fault of their own. Lisa has over twenty five years in residential childcare alone, not to mention a myriad of other professional venues. As noted in the letters of reference by prior Executive Director of South Mountain Children's Homes, Douglas M. McConnel and Kevin Otis, Administrator of Masonic Home for Children, her experience validates her ability to assume the leadership role that is necessary during this time.
From the time of her engagement with our program in 2016 as a consultant, Ms. Trivett has diligently advocated for youth in her case load, as well as advocating for best practice in all manners of care as Case Manager. Her dual role as our Social Service Research Coordinator, kept us ahead of the curve from where most small agencies like ours usually operate. Ms. Trivett's experience in licensure and accreditation processes as well makes her an excellent choice as our new Executive Director to not only lead, but ensure stability and continuity with transitions on going in our agency currently. Our kids, our employees and our agency will remain in good hands with Ms. Trivett in leadership of the Children's Homes of lredell County, Inc.
Please feel free to contact our office should there be any questions regarding the transitions. I will remain after a few weeks off as a consultant during the following months. Thank you to everyone who has partnered with us in the efforts to provide care and solace to our youth during the chaos of challenging times. They have no choice other than those who are charged with their care and comfort.
Please join us in welcoming our new Executive Director, Lisamarie Trivett. AND, last but never least, thank you for all your partnership, consideration and commitment to children and youth in care. You are the only difference in how they view our world; make the vision brighter!
Brenda C. Speece, Executive Director
We're so glad you chose to be part of the lives of our kids! As you know, none of our kids ask to come in to care and be away from their families. You also know that being in foster care is a difficult way to “just be a kid” in any community.
Thanks to our wonderful supporters “like you”, our kids experience love, compassion, structure and life experiences that “build up” and not tear down. We could not do what we do without the caring hearts and minds that bring forth the positive outcomes for our kids.
We ask for you to join us again in choosing “ AmazonSmile” as your partner in charitable giving. It’s important to remember to do your Amazon shopping at smile.amazon.com instead of www.amazon.com to make sure Children’s Homes of Iredell County Inc. can benefit. That benefit goes to the children and youth that are with us through no fault of their own. Your simple “click” helps make a difference in the lives of the kids, and can impact their future.
Please help in our “vision for the future” for the kids! God bless you in all that you do for others! You may contact us at any time for questions about other ways to help.
