Courtney joined CHIC in 2025, bringing her experience from working with juvenile delinquents in a residential academy and in childcare settings. She is passionate about shaping the lives of youth and believes that investing in them now will help create a brighter future for us all. In her free time, Courtney enjoys kayaking, playing games, and living by the motto: “It’s always a good day to have a good day.”
Lisa brings years of experience working with youth in various roles, including as a Residential Manager, Foster Parent, and Counselor. She is deeply committed to making a difference in the lives of children, guiding them to understand the value of respect, love, and personal growth. Lisa enjoys spending time at the beach collecting seashells or visiting her family in Colorado. Her passion for helping youth grow and thrive is evident in everything she does.

Joe has been with CHIC since 2013, working most recently at the Doyle Home. He enjoys spending time outdoors, blacksmithing, and working on various building projects. Joe values the family-like environment at CHIC and is dedicated to helping youth in the program develop and thrive. Family is very important to him, and he takes great pride in his role as a direct care house parent.
Linda has over 40 years of experience working in human services and education. She returned to the workforce after retiring from the Iredell-Statesville School System and Barium Springs Academy, where she worked with at-risk youth. Linda is now a House Parent in CHIC’s Transitional Youth Development Program, where she works to help youth achieve their goals and surpass expectations. Her favorite quote, by Frederick Douglass, “It is easier to build strong children, than to repair broken men,” inspires her daily.
Ranisha joined CHIC in 2022 and brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles at the YMCA and as an implementation specialist. She believes in the transformative power of youth and has learned that it’s often the children who teach us valuable lessons in patience, resilience, and hope for the future. Ranisha enjoys traveling with her family and has a personal goal of visiting all 50 states.
Kevin is passionate about empowering others to discover their true potential and make a positive impact in their communities. With a background in child welfare and behavioral health, he is dedicated to supporting young people in their transition to adulthood. Kevin’s personal mission is to help others find healing and purpose through their own experiences. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, playing golf, and going on fishing trips. “Let's connect and work together to make a lasting difference!”
Michelle is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Specialist and a Certified Trauma Expert with over 20 years of experience in the Behavioral Health field. Born and raised in California and now residing in Elkin, NC, Michelle is deeply committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of youth and families. She believes in the power of love and connection to heal emotional wounds and values the opportunity to apply her expertise at CHIC. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her two children, Anna and Finnegan, and contributing to the community.
Leigh is a seasoned child welfare professional with over 30 years of experience, including roles in compliance, youth services, and as a court counselor supervisor. Now working as our AfterCare Coordinator, Leigh is committed to helping young adults achieve independence and success. Her passions include travel, crafting, and gardening. Leigh finds great joy in seeing kids overcome challenges, and she is inspired by the resilience and persistence that drives them forward.
Jean brings a wealth of experience from her time in the corporate world, where she specialized in recruitment and talent acquisition. With a passion for helping children, she is now leading CHIC’s foster care recruitment efforts, ensuring that children find safe and nurturing homes. Jean believes strongly in the impact of children on the future and is driven to provide them with the stability they need to thrive. When she's not at work, Jean enjoys reading, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family, including her husband, two children, and their dog, Archie.
Lisa has been an invaluable member of the CHIC team since 2004, with over 32 years of experience in child welfare. Her journey began as a houseparent, and she now serves as our Executive Administrative Assistant. Lisa is passionate about helping others and takes pride in supporting the agency’s mission. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending quality time with her family and indulging in her love for bargain hunting.
Lauren joined CHIC in 2024 and brings six years of experience in casework and Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility. Passionate about travel and learning about the world, Lauren enjoys exploring history and understanding global events. She also loves theater and spending time with her bearded dragon, Tantor. Lauren is dedicated to building meaningful relationships with the youth she works with and believes every choice you make matters, no matter how small.

Judy is a dedicated wife, mother of four, and community servant. As CHIC’s Transitional Living Coordinator, she helps young adults navigate their transition to independent living and workforce integration. Judy is passionate about giving back and has volunteered extensively, both locally and internationally, supporting victims of human trafficking and serving communities in need. Her commitment to service and empowering others extends beyond her professional role, making her an inspiring figure to all who know her.
Stephanie joined CHIC in May 2024, bringing 15 years of experience in casework, including five years as a residential director. She is passionate about helping youth believe in themselves and reach their full potential. Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and baby on their "mini homestead." She encourages the youth she works with to take a chance on themselves, as they are capable of achieving more than they ever imagined.
