CHIC has 2 Residential Living homes, each designed to provide a foster home environment and high-quality therapeutic care for children and youth, ages newborn to 18. Most children come to us because of abuse and neglect; many have witnessed, or have been victims of, domestic or community violence.
All homes are staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
CHIC has 2 Transitional Living homes for young adults who have aged out of foster care but are not 21 yet. These homes provide a safe, structured environment for developing essential life skills and independence. These programs offer housing, education support, employment readiness, and emotional guidance, helping youth transition smoothly into adulthood.
Becoming a foster parent is one of the most rewarding and impactful decisions you can make, not only for yourself but for a child in need of stability and love. Your compassion and commitment can help break the cycle of trauma, giving a child the chance to thrive and build a brighter future. By fostering, you become a vital part of a child's journey and help create a more compassionate community for all.
The Workforce Development Program at CHIC focuses on providing foster youth with the skills, education, and support needed to succeed in the workforce. This program offers soft skills training, job training, career exploration, and professional development opportunities to help young people gain employment and achieve financial independence.
