We Need Houseparents!

If you join us in our belief that today's children are tomorrow's future, then this is the opportunity you've been looking for! We are seeking married couples to work with our children and youth as Houseparents. The Houseparent position is both challenging and rewarding as we help our children and youth achieve their dreams of a brighter future. The House Mother and House Father are responsible for providing compassion, discipline and daily supervision to the children placed in our care by the Department of Social Services.  Applicants should be mature, responsible individuals with a sense of mission to help children who suffer from the effects of trauma and loss as a result of the abuse and neglect they have endured. Our Houseparents work 7 days on and 7 days off residing with the kids in four beautiful homes within our community. We offer them a homelike environment like any other child in the community, no signs out front, just a peaceful place during the storm and chaos till they can reach permanence.
Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance paid by our agency, retirement after 2 years full time employment with our agency, PTO, paid holidays while on shift and all living expenses during the shift of care is provided. Applicants are required to possess a valid driver’s license, provide clearances in the form of a clear background and motor vehicle check. We will guide you in successfully completing mandated training. Children’s Homes of Iredell County, Inc. is an EOE and is certified in Pressley Ridge Trauma Informed Care.
